2019 looks like it’s going to be a good year for Cozway. The artist from Vancouver has been slowly ramping up his releases and each is just as sick as the last. Cozway has a unique sound, which is surprising from an artist with a reasonably small portfolio. Some of that sound stems from his fusion of eastern aboriginal instruments with modern electronic production. As the artist himself states, “I only fucc [with] wood drums.” On this track for Deadbeats Records, he teams up with fellow Canadian, Aaron Bonnema, on a track that stays very true to Cozway’s sound. Truth be told, both BONNEMA and Cozway have similar production tastes, so the collaboration doesn’t deviate from either artists’ main competencies. Rest assured you will hear much more of Cozway on this blog in the future.
